All data retrieved through the Instagram API is stored locally on your WordPress site and is only kept for the duration that you configure within the plugin settings. Once this period expires, the data is automatically deleted. You may manually delete all stored Platform Data at any time via the “Delete All Platform Data” option in the plugin settings or by uninstalling the plugin. We do not collect any information about visitors to your website, nor do we share Platform Data with third parties.
2. Types of Data Processed When you use our plugin to connect to Instagram, the following data is retrieved and processed by the plugin:
- The name and profile picture of your Instagram account.
- A list of Instagram profiles that you manage.
- An access token for your Instagram account.
- Posts, photos, videos, and other content from the Instagram profile you connect to the plugin.
3. Purpose of Processed Data The data listed above is processed for the following purposes:
- Your name and profile picture are used within the plugin to personalize your experience.
- The list of Instagram profiles is used to allow you to select which account you wish to connect to the plugin.
- The access token is required to retrieve content from your Instagram account and display it on your website.
- Posts and media from your connected Instagram profile are used to generate and display your feed within the plugin.
4. Permission Model: Grant of Least Access The plugin operates in “read-only” mode and does not publish, modify, or delete any data on Instagram. The plugin does not allow you to like, comment, or interact with Instagram content beyond displaying your feed on your website. The only permission required by our plugin is:
- instagram_business_basic – This permission is necessary to retrieve basic business account information and display content from your Instagram feed on your website.
No additional permissions are requested or utilized by our plugin.
5. Removal of Platform Data You may permanently delete all stored Platform Data at any time via the “Delete All Platform Data” option in the plugin settings or by uninstalling the plugin.

6. Third-Party APIs Our plugin utilizes the Instagram API to retrieve data for display on your website. Any data retrieved is stored within your WordPress site’s database and is not shared with any external parties. 7. Cookies Cookies may be used during the authentication process when connecting your Instagram account. These cookies are stored locally on your device and are not stored on visitor devices or transmitted externally by the plugin.
