Mother’s Day is a special occasion dedicated to honoring the remarkable women who have shaped our lives with their unconditional love, guidance, and sacrifice. It’s a time to express gratitude and appreciation for all that mothers do, from nurturing us as infants to supporting us as we navigate through life’s challenges.

Mother’s Day is traditionally a celebration of mothers, it’s also an opportunity to honour someone who has played a vital part in our life lives. Whether it’s grandmothers, aunts, sisters, or mentors, these women play invaluable roles in shaping our lives and deserve recognition and appreciation on this special day.

We asked the team at Up Hotel Agency who they would like to nominate to show recognition for their unwavering love, strength, and support this Mother’s Day.

Holly

I would like to nominate my sister – Clare

My sister is one of the strongest mothers I know. She’s selfless and devotes her life to her children and has been a constant pillar of support to me as we have navigated some tough challenges together.

Sarah

My Mommy – Wendy!

My mum Wendy is a superstar! Whilst she has been incredibly poorly for many years (21 operations in 8 years!), she is never not smiling and constantly pushing forward, making sure everyone else is looked after before she ever is. She has always put her children first (all 6 of us!), making sure we had everything we ever needed, even during times of adversity or struggle. She is SO funny, loving, kind and one of Up’s biggest fans so we absolutely HAVE to celebrate Wendy this Mother’s Day!! ❤️

David

I would like to nominate my mum Wendy.

She’s most beautiful loving soul who raised me to also show care, love and gave me the confidence to put myself out there to achieve and believe in myself.

Kelly

My Daughter – Millie – Marie

I’d like to nominate my beautiful daughter Millie – Marie not only because she is the one that made me a mother but also because she’s given my life purpose in a way I could never have imagined before I became a mum. She changes my life for the better just by breathing and I’m thankful to have her in my life each and every single day. She is kind, funny and humbles me on a daily basis. She motivates me to do better and is the reason I will never allow myself to fail.

Rebecca

I would like to nominate my mum Helen.

My Mum, Helen has always been my biggest cheerleader, her unwavering love, endless support, and boundless wisdom have shaped me into the person I am today.

She has recently been my rock facing one of the toughest years I have ever had to deal with, tackling every challenge with my mum by my side is something I will always be grateful for.

Thank you, Mum, for being the heart and soul of our family, for your unconditional love that fills our home with warmth, and for the countless memories we’ve shared together. I am beyond grateful for you, and I love you more than words can say.

Here’s to you, Mum – the greatest gift life has ever given me. ❤️

Rachael

My Mum, Juli

From an early age, Mum was given way more responsibility than a person that age should have, to help out my Grandmother who had to work multiple jobs. She is the epitome of a strong, independent, hard-working woman; never asking for recognition or praise of any kind.

Not only did she help in raising her siblings and in turn, myself and my brother; she is now an adored Grandmother to my son. Watching her teach him and play with him reminds me of the same love and affection that she gave me when I was small. I’m hugely grateful for her and the sacrifices that she has made – thanks for everything, Mum!

Elizabeth

I would like to nominate my sister May

This Mother’s Day, I want to celebrate the hidden gem in my life – my amazing sister! She’s selfless, kind, and courageous, always there to support me through thick and thin. She may not be a mom yet, but she’s already rocking the role with her love and care. Here’s to you, sis! 💖

Owain

My wife Patricia

Returning for a second time from maternity leave last September, and absolutely nailing the balance between being a full time professional, often commuting between London and Rugby for work, as well as a super mum to our two young kids!

On this special day, let’s take the time to honour and celebrate the incredible women who fill our lives with love, laughter, and light. Whether it’s through a thoughtful gesture, a heartfelt message, or simply spending quality time together, let’s show our appreciation for all that they do.

Happy Mothers Day! 💐💖
