In a Nutshell

We’d love to find a Junior Digital Designer to join our forward-thinking and exciting agency. We are searching for a creative candidate with 1-2+ years commercial experience who is looking to grow and produce a broad range of high-quality digital design work for our high profile client base.

Our goal is to deliver high-quality projects that both our clients and the team can be proud of. Our environment is supportive and friendly and we place a strong emphasis on providing high-quality design and ideas to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a track record and portfolio of stunning digital design work to back up their CV. We are looking for a creative thinker who can combine both business logic and creativity to provide our clients with immersive visuals that produce results.

The UP Life

We work in an open plan office and because we are a full-service agency, the design team gets to collaborate with developers and marketeers on a lot of creative projects. It also means that we get to know the whole team well (and often have lighthearted battles about who’s turn it is on the playlist).

Team members generally regard each other as friends as well as coworkers and there’s usually no end of treats milling around.

As a close-knit bunch, we love to do stuff together such as go for lunch, celebrate absolutely nothing with after-work drinks, going to gigs, having picnics in the park playing rounders or cricket and the bosses even treat us all to a yearly company adventure!

There is also training for the hospitality industry, encouragement of individuals to grow for career development and monthly 1-2-1 meetings to ensure you feel valued and listened to – we really do care for the people who work here!

Qualifications and Skills

The successful candidate will have experience designing in a digital space, ranging from creation of marketing assets to designing beautiful bespoke website concepts.  There will also be occasional print design work required, so familiarity with the core Adobe suite will be essential. The ideal candidate should be comfortable collaborating and communicating with both clients and other team members.

What We’d Like to See

Desired But Not Required Skills:

Interview Process

We like to start off with a brief friendly chat on the phone. If we get along, the next stage is a face to face meeting at our office. To get a measure of the candidate’s aptitude, we will finally issue a small practical brief.

We would like the ideal candidate to work a few days a week in the office based in Rugby to ensure maximum training & mentoring can be given.
